Macklin Celebrini returned to the lineup and scored a goal during a narrow defeat to the Edmonton Oilers. The rookie forward, after being out of action, appeared in the game with another youngster Will Smith, who also featured in the NHL. Despite the loss, the Sharks saw a bright spot as Ivar Stenberg netted his first-ever professional goal in a separate game against the Boston Bruins.
