The White House and State Department are currently monitoring a suspected plague outbreak in Russia. A staff member at a Russian plague lab has died from an unidentified infection, and nearly 200 people are being monitored due to possible contact. Restrictions have been put in place in Irkutsk following the death of an employee at the plague lab.
