Tadej Pogačar took the win on Stage 19 on July 24. The Slovenian rider attacked early on Alpe d'Huez and crossed the line far in front. Only Richard Carapaz came within reach. Pogačar's group had sick teammates earlier in the stage but the leader held his form. His lead widened on the last climbs. Two days prior, Carapaz took Stage 18 just close behind.
