A 22-year-old passenger died on Loop 1604 in San Antonio after a driver suspected of driving while intoxicated struck a pillar. San Antonio police arrived at the North Side collision and found the driver intoxicated at the scene.
In a separate incident, an employee at a BBQ restaurant was knifed in the arm and chest in what police called a random attack near the front of the restaurant. The employee is expected to recover after the attack.
