The Rugby Football Union plans to offer England head coach Steve Borthwick an extended contract. The planned agreement would retain him as head coach beyond the 2027 Rugby World Cup and past the 2028 Six Nations.
Borthwick would lead England at both competitions under the planned deal. His tenure as head coach would continue after the next men's Rugby World Cup, and then through England's Six Nations campaign in the year that followed.
The extension would leave him in charge after the 2028 tournament had concluded.
