A French visitor from the Var region has died in Death Valley in the United States after his car stopped working. The vehicle got stuck during a severe heatwave. The man walked away from his car and headed out to seek help in the scorching heat. Temperatures reached 47 degrees Celsius at the time.

He tragically died while attempting to reach help. The tourist was travelling through Death Valley when his car stopped working during the heatwave. He was from the Var area in France. He abandoned his stuck car to find help in the 47 degree heat.
