BC Wildfire Service crews responded to a fire active near Highway 97 in Peachland. Firefighters have arrived at the scene. The service stated that crews are holding the fire now. Meanwhile, a separate wildfire was burning near Highway 3 east of Princeton. That fire grew to seven hectares.
Police officers are currently examining a rollover crash on Highway 97. Video footage caught the incident. The RCMP suspect that alcohol contributed to the traffic accident. Local news outlet Castanet also shared a Kelowna tribute notice for Debbie Florence Turner.
