Daniel Tupou has stepped away from the game just days after the Sydney Roosters won the title. The winger leaves the sport as a four-time premiership winner, all earned with the Roosters, having never played for another NRL club.
The Roosters admitted to being "lost for words" at his departure. Tupou's whole playing life was spent in red, white and blue, leaving him regarded as one of the most loyal one-club players in the competition's recent memory.
