World Space Week 2026 is under way from October 4 to 10 under the theme "Rocket Revolution," built around how falling launch costs could make space available to more countries and organisations. Google marked the occasion with a dedicated Doodle, while Adafruit got involved with the week.

The European Space Agency joined forces with Pokemon GO to offer a special Astronaut Pikachu to players during the week. Katara also joined activities connected to the event. World Space Week is the most widely observed space event each year, observed across more than 90 countries.
